Christmas time is near and so are HOLIDAYS, but before we go, we are having a great day on Thursday 22nd December:
We are having a 'street market' and we are playing 'secret Santa' using Christmas crackers.
At school they asked us to make 'Christmas crackers' so if you need any help , this link can be useful for you:

OUR LANGUAGE ASSISTANTS

ADAM  (from Warrington, England)
between Liverpool and Manchester

I'm Adam from the north-west of England. If you can point to Manchester and Liverpool, then I live in a small town called Warrington which is located in between Manchester and Liverpool. I'm 22 years old and I have just graduated from the University of Chester where I studied Business Studies and Spanish. In my family, there is my mum, dad and my two brothers (I am the middle brother). I also have a dog called Tilly and we help a guide dog called Ellis. I play American football (yes that is correct, I'm a British person who plays an American sport in Spain - I'm multi-cultural) for the Madrid Toros and I love to ski/snowboard.
This is my second year as an "auxiliar de conversación" in Spain. I was previously an assistant in a high school in Alcalá de Henares. So I have some experience of the questions that the students usually ask the assistants. I have loved every minute of my time living in Spain, especially with the amount of good places to eat and socialise.
My favourite things about Spain are the weather, the food and the fantastic public transport system (especially good for travelling at the weekend). I have visited many places in the world and Spain. I love the beach so Málaga and the southern coast of Spain is perfect for me. I also love Spanish paella and the Spanish omelette, not to forget the amazing taste of Serrano ham. I love a lot of things but Spain is very special to me.
I have already enjoyed my first weeks at IES Neil Armstrong and I hope to enjoy it even more. The students are great and have some good levels of English.

                                           EMILY  ( from  Pennsylvania U.S.A.)

Hello! My name is Emily Weinstock-Collins. I am 21 years old and I have just graduated from Wesleyan University, with majors in Mathematics, Hispanic Literatures and Cultures, and the College of Letters (a humanities program). Two years ago I was in Madrid for a semester abroad, so I am thrilled to be back again! I love learning and I love teaching, and I am especially excited to be working with the Global Classrooms program this year. Outside of school, you can usually find me reading books, enjoying the outdoors, baking (and eating) cookies, or playing ultimate frisbee.

                       CHRISTINE (from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada)

My name is Christine Bajzar and I am 22 years old from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I graduated from the university of Alberta this past June with a bachelor of science in biology and psychology.
I have been studying languages since I was 9 years old when I began learning French, and I have had a love for learning languages ever since.
I began studying Spanish, in addition to French, after I had the chance to visit Spain with my school when I was 14 and I knew I wanted to return.

I am excited to be here and to have the opportunity to help others develop their own interests in languages through learning English.

In my free time I enjoy spending time outside, writing, dancing or practicing my French and Spanish.

                                                       TREVOR (from Utah, U.S.A.)

My name is Trevor Fedderson, I'm 27 years old from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA. I recently graduated from the University of Utah with degrees in Spanish, Latin American Studies, and Comparative Literary & Cultural Studies.
When I was 19 years old, I had the chance to live in Argentina as a volunteer, where I first began teaching English as a second-language. Since then, I've had the opportunity to teach children and adults alike through various volunteer organizations in Utah and Arizona.
I love languages! Along with continuing my studies of Spanish, I'm also learning French. In my free time, I'm usually reading a good book or doing something outside--biking, hiking, or camping.
